Why hire a professional?
I occasionally get this question from people. I get asked “Why should I hire a pro when I can paint it myself, anyone can paint.” While that is true, anyone CAN paint, there are a lot of things to consider before you head to the big box store and spend your hard earned money on paint, rollers, brushes, drop clothes, etc. Ask yourself these three questions before making that trek:
- What is my skill level? -Are you able to tackle that 2 story foyer successfully?
- What are my quality expectations? -Can you paint a line straight enough, keep wall paint off the trim/ceiling, and be happy with the results?
- Do I really know what I am doing? -Painting your living room walls is one thing, but are you trying to tackle something more difficult like a weathered exterior, stain job, or trim detail?

Fall Parade of Homes
The Fall Parade of Homes just finished up here in West Michigan. This year’s parade featured 25 new homes, five condominiums, and two concept homes. They are located in ten different communities throughout the greater Grand Rapids area, and range in price from $100,000 to nearly $1 million.
